Effect of Mobile Network Providers' Distribution Channel on Uptake of Agronomic Microinsurance in Kenya

Abstract

Agronomic fabrication antagonizes a myriad of jeopardy. This is not notwithstanding the augmented low uptake of micro-indemnity. The study sought to investigate the effect of Mobile Network Providers' delivery channels on the uptake of agronomic micro-indemnity amenities in Kenya. The researcher used an explanatory research design. The target populace was 259 employees, from which a sample of 157 employees was selected using stratified and simple random sampling techniques. Questionnaires and document scrutiny were used to amass data. Data amassed were analyzed using descriptive data in the form of frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviation. While linear regression scrutiny was used to test the hypotheses. The enquiry revealed that mobile network providers affected the uptake of micro-indemnity, as indicated by discoveries of R= 0.306, R- square = 0.526, and (p = 0.000). The enquiry clinched that the use of mobile network providers' distribution channels affected the uptake of micro-indemnity optimistically and significantly. The enquiry recommended that the Mobile Network Operators should provide customized information to agronomists using a native language such as Kiswahili for more understanding of the agronomic micro-indemnity to endorse the merchandise's uptake. The enquiry also recommended that the mobile network providers should open geographic distribution areas to endorse accessibility of agronomic micro-indemnity to agronomists.
