Abstract

A child is anyone below 18 years. This paper appraised the Nigerian children by re-emphasizing the fact that the future of any society depends on how well it serves the need of its children because whatever happens to the children from their early years affects not only their development but also the development of society. The paper analyses how the different socializing agents like the home and the school affect the development of Nigerian children today and suggests the way forward.
