Abstract

Mobile ad hoc network is the dynamic network in which nodes can act as both host as well as router. MANET do not have fixed infrastructure.  MANET is the multi-hop network. The main challenge in MANET is to design the efficient routing protocol in order to exchange the data in the network. Several routing protocols are proposed and are classified into proactive, reactive and hybrid protocols. This paper presents the classification of routing protocols. The on-demand unipath like DSR and on-demand multipath like AODV-BR protocols are also present in this paper.
