Analytical Evaluation of Different Query Optimization Techniques

Abstract

The distributed query optimization is one of the typical problems in distributed databases. The success story of distributed database system depends on   query optimization. In order to optimize queries correctly sufficient and accurate types of information is required. Optimization technique has an important impact on the distributed query processing There are different strategies to optimize the query. In this paper the different strategies for query optimization will be discussed by considering various components like search space, search strategy, comprehensiveness, optimality and execution time. Finally, on the basis of discussion, some conclusion will be drawn.
