Abstract
Solanum mammosum L. plant exhibiting diversity in the distribution of amino acid content. Physiological aspect of fruit development have essentially been made on the horticultural fleshy fruits and most frequently growth rate evaluation was done in terms of volume, fresh weight and dry weight, and supplemented in some cases with metabolites estimation. Only scant investigations are available on biochemical composition of fruits during growth, differentiation, maturation and ripening. The present work centers the detection of amino acid diversity among the various tissues of Solanum fruits. The role of free amino acids in particular in the synthesis in the developing fruits is discussed.
