Abstract

Biometric recognition can be considered as an emerging trend by its reliable means of controlling access to physical as well as virtual spaces. A unimodal biometric system depends on the results of a single biometric trait and has limited accuracy. In contrast the multi biometric system aggregates the results of two or more biometric traits. We have used three biometrics such as fingerprint, iris and sclera images that independently process the user input and the processed information will be combined using a fusion scheme.  Hence this multi modal biometric system provides overall accuracy with additional security to highly authenticated systems.
