Abstract
The study assessed the psychosocial challenges faced by parents of children with disabilities in the Sunyani Municipality. A 12-item questionnaire was administered to these parents to gather relevant data. The findings revealed that 60% of the respondents reported limited or no access to counseling and psychological services as a primary challenge. Moreover, 64% indicated that they frequently experience the effects of stigmatization and negative social attitudes in their daily lives. Given that 60% of the respondents reported limited or no access to counseling and psychological services, it was recommended, among other things, that it is crucial to expand the availability and accessibility of these services.
