Analysis of Interest in Entrepreneurship through E-commerce using the TAM Method for Diponegoro University Students, Indonesia

Abstract
University students in the millennial generation are identified as people with creative, innovative, confident characters, which is very relevant to the characteristics needed to be an entrepreneur. It is undeniable that many students are still reluctant and afraid to work as entrepreneurs.
This research aims to analyze the entrepreneurial interest of Diponegoro University students through e-commerce using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) method. The research sample determined was 200 students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Diponegoro University, who had taken the Entrepreneurship course. The hypothesis testing method used was the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique.
The test results prove that:
- Perceived benefits have a positive and significant effect on E-commerce attitudes,
- Perceived convenience has a positive and significant effect on E-commerce attitudes,
- E-commerce attitudes have a positive and significant effect on E-commerce interests,
- E-commerce interests have a positive effect and are significant to the interest in entrepreneurship
It can be concluded that the existence of e-commerce can foster students' interest in entrepreneurship. E-commerce is perceived as providing benefits and ease of running business operations.
