Abstract
Family firms play a significant role in the economic and social fabric of Rivers State, Nigeria. Understanding how they approach sustainability practices, particularly green innovation, is crucial for promoting a more sustainable future. This research aims to investigate the relationship between socio-emotional wealth and green innovation with family firms in Rivers State. The study is quantitative and based on cross-sectional data. In total, 277 copies of the questionnaire were applied for the final analysis using structural equation modelling (AMOS 23). The results demonstrated a positive and significant effect of FCI, IFF, BSTF, EAF, and RFBDS on GIN. The study's findings would offer significant contributions and implications for executives, entrepreneurs, and managers. This research proposes that family firms embrace a learning culture that fosters a culture of openness to new ideas and collaboration within the family and with external stakeholders to facilitate continuous learning and adaptation in the pursuit of green innovation.
