Abstract

This article investigates the representation of Social and Political realities in the African Drama. Since Drama is defined as a slice of life, it therefore means that Drama is a representation of the story of daily human struggles. It is on this premise that this article investigates the representation of the Social and political aspects of the African. The playwrights were carefully picked from two divergent yet, identical regions and countries ( Wole Soyinka, A Nigerian from West Africa and  David Mulwa A Kenyan from East Africa). It is a comparative study of how the two playwrights represent the African realities based on the occurrences within their immediate societies and also a microscopic view of political and social representations of the Larger African Society. The works of the two artists served up a historical and cultural representation of Social and Political life o the African Continent.
