Abstract
The paper contributes to the body of knowledge in the area of job satisfaction by assessing the moderation role of socio-demographic variables in attitude towards work and job satisfaction. The paper is based on descriptive correlational, quantitative, cross-sectional survey of students and staff of Sunyani Polytechnic. A sample of 139 respondents was selected through convenience sampling method. A self - designed questionnaire was used to collect primary data during class hours. Analysis of data was based on cross-tabulation and chi-square test. The results suggest a significant effect of socio-demographic variables on attitude towards studies/work and job/studies satisfaction. Managements of organisations should incorporate the findings into their policies for managing employees. Causal studies should be the focus of future studies since the current study is descriptive in nature.
