Abstract

This work examines the extent to which Accommodating as a dimension of conflict management strategy would create the much needed conscientiousness and courtesy which are part of our organizational citizenship behaviour measures. This study was carried out within oil and gas companies in Port Harcourt metropolis, Nigeria. Our sample size of 387 was determined using Taro Yamen's formula from a population of 1228 staff in Shell, Chevron, Agip, NLNG, Saipem and Elf-total. From our findings, there is a strong relationship existing between Accommodating and Conscientiousness and a significant relationship existing between Accommodating and Courtesy.
